A very fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver and mother of pearl fish and dessert service for twelve persons; part of our silverware collection

Description

The pieces of this fine antique Edwardian sterling silver fish and dessert service for twelve persons have a plain form.

Both the dessert and fish knives have plain, subtly tapering blades with rounded tips.

The forks have shaped shafts.

The dessert forks have two tines, and the fish forks, four tines.

Each piece is fitted with a plain tapering, rounded mother of pearl handle.

All the pieces are fully hallmarked to the reverse.

The flatware is fitted to the original hinged walnut veneered mahogany box with three lift out trays.

The box has brass fittings and a satin and velvet lined interior.

Condition

The pieces of this antique service are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

Full hallmarks struck to each piece are all very clear.

The box is in excellent condition in keeping with its age.
