Sometimes referred to as cardinal sins, or capital sins, the seven deadly sins are believed to be the head and form of all other sins to which humankind is victim. While there is certainly virtue in being above it all, free from sin and living a life of perfect balance, there is also quite a bit of fun to be had with a little bit of sinning. Join us today while we dip our toes into the dark waters of sin with a little bit of window shopping.
Intense longing, uncontrollable desire, lust is definitely something we all feel. When you’re looking at gems with this much fire and sparkle, how could you deny the red hot flames of lust building deep within? Today, let’s not feel guilty or ashamed at expressing how desperately we want these items.
We have all eaten a big meal and felt that familiar regret. Our stomachs complain, we get sluggish and tired, and we can’t wait to do it again. Gluttony is usually related to the excessive consumption of food, but it can also be an uncontrollable urge to wear the largest gemstones and the most diamonds possible.
Similarly to gluttony and lust, greed is a sin of desire. Greed is usually considered to be the sinful act of pursuing material possessions. If there’s anyone who understands the pull of material possessions, it’s us. We surround ourselves with this beauty every day, and sometimes, we might go a bit too far…
Sloth is often a lot harder to define than the other seven deadly sins. My favourite way of defining it is as disinclination to exertion. Sometimes called laziness, sloth can be a peaceful thing. Make life easier on yourself by buying jewellery in sets rather than one piece at a time. Don’t exert yourself.
Wrath – pronounced ~*wroth*~ not ~*wrath*~ , is the uncontrollable anger, rage, and hatred that we have all felt at one point in our lives. Wrath is at once a pitch black hatred and a white hot rage, best represented by onyx, and the brilliant white sparkle of diamonds.
Envy is a very relatable sin; we have all wished for something that someone else has. From Cain envying Abel, envy has always found a place within us. If you’re sick of being Cain and you want to be Abel for once, check out some of these jewels. Sporting these, you’d have anyone positively green with envy…
Pride features in almost every iteration of the seven deadly sins. Pride is usually considered to be when you think of yourself as coming first, before anyone else. People who suffer from pride see themselves as being above others. If you’re feeling prideful, show it with these truly enormous rings; let their sparkle and depth show people how divinely proud you are.
In today’s world, we can all be a little sinful at times. Here at AC Silver, we try to celebrate those times. Why not join us in a bit of lighthearted sin sometime?
