0.29ct Diamond and Ruby, Platinum Regimental Brooch - Vintage Circa 1960

This fine and impressive vintage diamond brooch has been crafted in platinum.

The brooch has been modelled in the form of the Salamanca eagle*.

The engraved body, wings and head of the eagle are embellished with a total of fifty-pavé set diamonds in a combination of transitional modern brilliant round and eight-cuts.

The eagle's eye is represented by a round cut ruby.

The foot of the eagle is ornamented with a enamel decorated plaque, accented with the number '62'.

The 1960s brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp fastening.

This vintage regimental brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum.

The brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.

NOTE * The Salamanca eagle was a Napoleonic standard that was stolen by the Essex Regiment during the battle of Salamanca. The Essex Regiment has now amalgamated into the Royal Anglian regiment, and is now worn as the sleeve badge in honour.
