Description

This fine and impressive antique 1800's dress ring has been crafted in 18 ct yellow gold.

The pierced decorated frame is ornamented with a feature 0.33 ct square step cut emerald to the centre of the design.

The emerald is encircled with ten old mine cut diamonds.

The shaped, flared ring shoulders blend seamlessly with the plain hallmarked ring shank.

The ring is hallmarked to the interior with the gold guarantee mark, the 18 ct gold fineness mark (18), the London Assay Office hallmark (leopard's head) and the date letter for 1865 (k).

This impressive antique cocktail ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.

"Rather than regarding inclusions in coloured stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics."
