0.38 ct Sapphire and 0.50 ct Diamond, 9 ct Yellow Gold Crescent Brooch - Vintage 1973

Description

This fine and impressive sapphire and diamond brooch has been crafted in 9 ct yellow gold with a 9 ct white gold setting.

The pierced decorated crescent shaped setting is ornamented with seven round mixed cut blue sapphires, graduated in size.

Eight diamonds, in a combination of modern brilliant round cuts and eight-cuts, are displayed alternately between the sapphires, also graduated in size.

The 9 ct white gold set sapphire and diamond crescent brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp, crafted in 9 ct yellow gold.

The brooch is hallmarked to the 9 ct yellow gold frame with the 9 ct yellow gold fineness mark (9.375), the date letter for 1973 (S), the London Assay Office hallmark (leopard's head) and the maker's mark 'FRS Ltd'.

This Victorian style brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
