Description

This impressive 1950s diamond engagement ring has been crafted in 18ct white gold with a platinum setting.

The 0.55 carat transitional modern brilliant round cut diamond is held in relief in an eight claw, platinum, pierced decorated, elevated basket setting embellished with a fluted border.

The elevated, pierced decorated ring shoulders blend seamlessly with the plain 18 ct white gold hallmarked shank.

The exterior of the shank is hallmarked with the French eagle's head and dog's head marks and some maker's marks that are rubbed.

This 1950s diamond engagement ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate.

Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.

Condition

The 1950s diamond ring is fine quality set with a very high colour graded, very high clarity graded diamond.

The 1950s diamond ring is a very good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition the French hallmarks to the exterior of the shank are slightly worn in keeping with the age but remain legible, the maker's marks are illegible.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of vintage jewellery/estate jewelry.
