Description

This exceptional, fine and impressive antique diamond griffin brooch has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold with a platinum setting.

The antique brooch has been modelled in the form of a griffin holding a floriated stem.

A single platinum eight claw set 0.33ct Old European round cut diamond drop suspends from the lower border of the floriated stem.

The griffin displays a second 0.23ct Old European round cut diamond, six claw platinum set to its mouth.

The griffins eyes are collet set with two cabochon cut rubies.

The 18ct yellow gold brooch secures to the reverse with an 18ct rose gold hinged pin fastening and clasp.

The brooch may be worn as a pendant via two ring loops to the upper border of the reverse setting.

The pin is hallmarked with the French maker's mark.

The brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18ct gold and platinum.

This antique 1900's griffin brooch is supplied with two independent diamond grading certificates.

Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.
