Description


This fine and impressive Victorian ruby and diamond brooch has been crafted in 9 ct yellow gold with a silver setting.


The pierced decorated, octothorpe shaped design is ornamented to the centre with a feature 0.60 ct oval mixed cut ruby, eight claw set in 9 ct yellow gold.


The ruby is flanked on either side by an individually six claw set Old European cut diamond.


The crosshatched design is embellished with a further thirty-six pavé set Old European cut diamonds to complate the arrangement.


The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp, crafted in 9 ct yellow gold.


This antique Victorian brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9 ct gold and silver.


The brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.

Condition


This impressive antique Victorian brooch is fine quality set with a ruby and very well colour matched, very high colour graded old cut diamonds showing fine brilliance.

The brooch is a very good gauge of gold and is in excellent condition.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of gemstone brooches.
