This fine and impressive vintage diamond brooch has been crafted in 18ct yellow and white gold.
The brooch has been modelled in the form of a posing ballerina.
The arms, legs and face of the ballerina are crafted in smooth 18ct yellow gold.
The hair, bodice and pierced decorated skirt are crafted in 18ct white gold.
The bodice is embellished with fifteen pavé set modern brilliant round cut diamonds.
The pierced decorated skirt is accented with twelve marquise cut and eleven round mixed cut blue sapphires, all individually claw set to the design.
The vintage brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp.
The reverse of one arm is hallmarked with the maker's mark 'JJ', the gold guarantee mark (crown), the 18ct gold fineness mark (750), the London Assay Office hallmark (leopard's head) and the date letter for 1990 (Q).
