1.22 ct Aquamarine and Pearl, 15 ct Yellow Gold Pendant / Brooch - Antique Circa 1910

This stunning, fine and impressive antique Edwardian pendant has been crafted in 15 ct yellow gold.

The pierced decorated frame displays a collet set pear faceted cut aquamarine, articulating to the centre of the arrangement.

The openwork design has interwoven scrolling and interlacing motifs, ornamented with twelve seed pearls to the sub-divisions.

The upper portion of the pendant/brooch is embellished with an applied simplified five petal floral design incorporating a further six seed pearls.

The brooch is embellished with a paralleling scrolling border, embellished with forty-nine seed pearls.

A seed pearl decorated paired leaf design completes the design, accented with a second millegrain decorated collet set pear, faceted cut aquamarine terminal suspending from the lower border.

This Edwardian gold pendant with pearls is fitted with a hinged ring loop attachment to the upper border and suspends from an 18" 9ct yellow gold box chain.

The vintage chain secures with a conventional spring-loaded bolt ring fastening, hallmarked with the maker's mark 'MM', the 9 ct gold fineness mark (375), the Birmingham import mark (triangle) and the date letter for 1981 (G).

The pendant is hallmarked to the reverse of the setting with the mark for 15ct gold (15CT).

This versatile piece of antique jewellery may also be worn as a brooch via a hinged pin and clasp to the reverse.

This stunning antique brooch / pendant is supplied with an independent gemstone grading report card.
