Description

This stunning, fine and impressive antique pin has been crafted in 18 ct yellow gold with a white gold setting.

The tapering, chamfered pin style brooch terminates with an impressive thistle head* design, featuring a stunning collet set fancy trapezium cut 1.71ct amethyst.

The principle stone is set above a 6.41mm cultured pearl, forming the bulbous lower portion of the thistle.

This terminal setting features a paralleling millegrain decorated border, embellished with nineteen Old European cut diamonds, totalling 1.90ct and completing the design.

This amethyst thistle kilt pin brooch secures with a hinged pin and clasp to the reverse, hallmarked with the hallmark for 18 ct gold (18CT).

This impressive pin brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.

NOTE: * The thistle has also been the national emblem of Scotland since the 13th century. Despite the thorny and negative reputation of this plant, the Celtic culture uses the thistle as a symbolism for nobility and graciousness.
