This stunning antique opal pendant has been crafted in 15ct yellow gold, with an 12ct yellow gold chain.
The pierced decorated Arts and Crafts frame is embellished with a central oval cabochon opal, accented with plain scrolling designs, incorporating white gold collet set Dutch cut diamonds.
The upper portion of the setting is ornamented with a fan design incorporating three further millegrain decorated collet set opals, alternating with Dutch cut diamonds.
The pendant features a further five collet set opals suspended from the terminals of the articulated linear drop settings; each drop features a Dutch cut diamond to the upper portion of the opal setting.
The pendant suspends from an 12ct yellow gold fancy-link chain via a plain ring loop attachment and secures with a conventional spring-loaded bolt fastening to the reverse.
This impressive example of 1910's gemstone pendant is fitted to the original leatherette hinged presentation case with a velvet and satin lined interior, securing with a push fit catch.
This exceptional box features the added benefit of a leatherette covered strut to the reverse, allowing the item to be displayed in situ; this impressive feature indicates the fine quality of the piece.
The unusual presentation strut bears the retailer's mark 'Finnigans, Manchester-Liverpool, & 18 New Bond St W'.
The pendant is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
