11.97ct Diamond and 10ct White Gold Floral Brooch - Antique Circa 1890

This magnificent antique diamond brooch has been crafted in 10ct white gold with a silver setting.

The brooch has been modelled in the form of a three-dimensional flower head featuring the four concentric structural stages of a flower: ovary, stamens, corolla/petals and calyx/sepals.

The impressive floral design is embellished with a stunning 1.72ct Old European cut diamond, claw set in relief to the centre of the setting.

This principle stone is encompassed with fifteen elevated trefoil shaped anther style settings, each displaying an impressive Dutch cut diamond; these linear settings replicate the details of the flower's full stamen.

Each large and curvilinear petal is embellished with fourteen stunning pavé set Old European round cut diamonds, graduating in size dependent on position.

The petals are divided by five sepal designs, each ornamented with an individually pavé set Old European cut diamond to the foliate shaped terminal.

This magnificent example of Victorian jewellery secures to the reverse with a rose gold hinged pin and yellow gold sheath style clasp.

This antique diamond brooch is fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation case with a satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch.

This impressive, bespoke velvet fitment has been crafted to enable the piece to be displayed securely when in situ; this in addition to the aesthetically pleasing decoration to the exterior leatherette covering indicates the exceptional quality of the piece.

The interior of the cover of the box features the embossed gilt retailer's mark 'Bruxelles Rue Treurenberg 40, J.Scheemaecker, Fabt Joailher'.

This magnificent diamond brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 10 carat gold and silver.

This antique Victorian floral diamond brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report certificate for the feature diamond, in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the supporting stones.

This magnificent antique brooch is a work of art in its own right and is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire.
