Description

This exceptional, fine and impressive dog brooch has been crafted in 15 ct yellow gold.

The plain bar brooch is ornamented to the centre with a realistically modelled retriever.

The retriever has a textured finish representing the undulating hairs of the dog's coat.

This exceptional example of early 1900's craftsmanship secures to the reverse with a hallmarked hinged pin and clasp.

The brooch benefits from the additional security of a fine link chain and safety pin which attaches to the reverse of the front leg of the retriever.

The hinged pin is hallmarked with the 15 ct gold fineness mark(15ct).

Condition

This impressive original antique bar brooch is exceptional quality with a finely modelled retriever.

The brooch is a very good gauge of gold and in excellent condition with a very clear hallmark to the bar.
