This fine and impressive open-face gold pocket watch has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold.
The pocket watch has an 'antique white' watch face which displays bold black Arabic numerals within a circular track style minute marked chapter ring.
A second smaller minute marked chapter ring has a seconds hand and the Arabic numerals from 10-60 in increments of 10.
The reverse of the watch is ornamented with a vacant applied cartouche.
The watch face is also signed 'TIFFANY & CO'.
The watch has a Swiss manual wind movement, bearing the maker's mark for Stauffer, Son & Co (S.S.&Co).
The interior of the case is
with the maker's mark for George Alfred Nicolet of Stauffer, Son & Co (GN), the 18ct gold fineness mark (18.75), the Glasgow import mark (opposed capital letters F), the date letter for 1929 (g) and 'SWISS'.
The interior rim and the bow of the pocket watch are also struck with the 18ct gold fineness mark (18.75).
The pocket watch is fitted to the original brown leatherette and green velvet, white satin lined presentation case, bearing the retailer's name 'TIFFANY & Co, LONDON' to the interior lid.
The presentation case bears the original owner's initials 'R.W.'.
