This exceptional antique 18 carat yellow gold box has a cylindrical form.


The sides of this antique box are embellished with impressive tooled decoration, accented with undulating wrigglework decorated borders.


This exceptional gold box is fitted with a fine and impressive push fit cover, ornamented with a central collet set finely hand painted oval panel depicting a kneeling angel figure, instructing a putto* from a scroll.


This exceptional panel is encompassed with further tooled and engraved decoration.


The surface to the underside is embellished with impressive engine turned decoration in a concentric ring design, accented with a rosette design to the centre.


The box opens to reveal the original simulated interior.


This exceptional antique box has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 carat gold.


* In art and culture, a putto (plural: putti) is a chubby male child, usually nude and occasionally bearing wings.
