"Rather than regarding inclusions in coloured stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics."

NOTE: * This documentation accredits the emerald originating in Zambia and verifies that the gemstone shows indications of minor clarity enhancement.

* Andrew Clunn was born in the United Kingdom in 1928 and emigrated to the United States in 1951 to work for Matson Navigation Company. In 1963 he became the apprentice to the quintessential American jeweler David Webb and after working a variety of sales positions within the company, Clunn became an indispensable assistant to Webb and worked with premier clients like the Duchess of Windsor and Elizabeth Taylor, until Webb's death in 1975.

In 1980 Clunn opened his own studio in New York City and he specialised in distinctive jewellery designs for distinguished European and North American families. Clunn died in February 2016 in Rye, New York.
