4.33 ct Diamond Cocktail Watch in Platinum - Art Deco - Vintage Circa 1940

This stunning vintage 1940s ladies diamond cocktail watch has been crafted in platinum, with a bracelet style strap.

This ladies Art Deco diamond wristwatch has a rectangular, off-white, aged face with simple black Arabic hour numerals, and is fitted with blued steel dauphine hands.

The manual wind watch is fitted with a plain crown/winder.

The subtly curved, longer sides of the rectangular watch bezel are embellished with a total of thirty-two eight-cut diamonds in addition to the chased Greek key decoration to the watch case.

Both ends of the bezel are accented with feature convex, Art Deco style designs embellished with baguette cut diamonds.

The thirty stunning pierced decorated platinum, articulated bracelet strap links are ornamented with a central row of baguette cut diamonds, graduating in size, bordered by two rows of eight-cut diamonds.

The watch secures to the reverse with a fully integrated, diamond embellished locking clasp with a side fitted safety clip.

This fine vintage ladies diamond watch is fitted with a Swiss made, 17 jewels, IWC* (International Watch Company) movement clearly marked with the production number 931482.

The exterior of the watch case is plain and unembellished.

The interior of the hinged case back is clearly marked 'PLATINUM'.

The bracelet of this Art Deco cocktail watch secures with an integrated push fit clasp and benefits from the additional security of a hinged safety catch to one side.

The fine 1940s diamond cocktail watch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.

NOTE *IWC is the only watch manufacturer in north-eastern Switzerland; founded in Schaffhausen in 1868 by Florentine Ariosto Jones (1841-1916), a watchmaker from Boston, Massachusetts.
