Description

This stunning antique Victorian diamond brooch has been crafted in 10 ct yellow gold with a silver setting.

This antique brooch setting has been modelled in the form of a twelve-pointed star / dodecagram*.

The brooch is ornamented with a feature 1.20 ct Old European cut diamond, collet set to the centre of the design.

This principle diamond is encircled by six individually collet set diamonds, with a further six smaller four claw set Dutch cut diamonds set to each internal incurve.

Six points of the star design emanate from the aforementioned diamonds, alternating with an incurved setting and six further points.

The tapering points of this impressive star brooch are embellished with a fifty-four pavé set diamonds graduating in size, in a combination of Dutch cut and Old European cuts.

This gold star brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp, which may be removed using the original tool provided; a ring loop may be attached to the reverse of the setting to enable this versatile brooch to be worn as a pendant, if so desired.

This stunning antique Victorian diamond star brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 10 ct gold with a silver setting.

The brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate for the feature diamond, in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the supporting stones.

* A dodecagram has been used for a variety of symbolisms, including but not limited to: the twelve disciples (Christianity), the twelve tribes of Israel (Judaism) and the twelve signs of the zodiac.
