9ct Yellow Gold Locket Pendant - Antique Circa 1915

Description

This fine and impressive antique locket has been crafted in 14ct yellow gold.

The anterior face of this antique gold locket features engraved decoration displaying a central spray of four flowers encircled by a batwing shaped frame.

The posterior face of the locket features a heart-shaped vacant cartouche encompassed with further floral decoration.

The sides of the locket is plain and unembellished.

This yellow gold hinged locket opens to reveal two windows, allowing for a personal memento to be stored within.

The 1900s gold locket suspends from a substantial 9ct yellow gold 14.5" trace chain via a ring loop to the upper border of the setting.

The chain secures with a conventional spring-loaded bolt ring fastening.

The impressive antique locket is hallmarked to the chain clasp with a 9ct fineness mark (9c) in addition to a maker's mark (CBD), and the locket's ring loop is marked with a 9ct fineness mark (9, 375).
