Description

This exceptional, fine and impressive antique mourning pendant has been crafted in 15 ct yellow gold.

The pendant displays an oval agate panel collet set to the centre of the 15 ct yellow gold frame.

The collet setting is encircled by applied rope twist decoration which is bordered by black enamel accented with an interlaced, repetitive design.

An applied bead decorated border around the rim of this impressive pendant completes the arrangement.

A removable push fit glass panel to the reverse allows a personal memento or keepsake to be displayed; the original lock of hair may easily be removed and replaced if desired.

The pendant is suspended from a 9 ct yellow gold belcher chain via a tapering, black enamel embellished ring loop attachment.

The neck chain secures with a hallmarked cylindrical push fit clasp struck with the 9ct gold fineness hallmark (9).

This exceptional example of Victorian mourning jewellery has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 15 ct gold.

The pendant is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
