Description


These fine antique Chinese silver menu holders have been modelled in the form of undulating oriental dragons.


The surface of each piece is embellished with embossed decoration replicating the details of the dragon's scales and anatomical features.


Each dragon surmounts a rope twist decorated band to a plain base.


These Chinese Export Silver (CES) menu holders are fitted with plain hallmarked wirework frames to the posterior surfaces.


The hallmarks to the frame of each silver menu holder includes:

Maker's mark: WH (Wang Hing & Company)

Silver quality/purity mark: 90 (90 standard, 900/1000)

Character maker: Untraced

Condition


These antique Chinese silver menu holders are a very good gauge of silver and excellent quality for their type.

Each piece is in exceptional presentation condition.

The embossed decoration is all very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each wirework support are all very clear.
