Description

This exceptional continental vintage silver serving dish has naturalistic, leaf style form.

The surface of the body has a broad shaped plateaued rim embellished with embossed decoration replicating the details of the leaf veins.

The deep vessel is ornamented with further embossed decoration forming a second array of leaves to the lower portion.

This impressive dish is supported by a shaped base realistically modelled in the form of a tapering branch accented with five individual leaf designs.

This unusual dish is accompanied by a hallmarked serving ladle with a leaf decorated bowl.

The handle is modelled in the form of a narrow branch accented with further leaf ornamentation, reflecting the design of the base.
