This impressive Dutch silver sugar box is embellished chased decoration reproducing the fine definition of the duck's plumage and anatomical features.

The facial features of this bird incorporates two gem set eyes.

This impressive silver sugar box retains the original, hallmarked push fit cover/back.

The hallmarks struck to this impressive box include:

Duty mark: Minerva head

Silver quality/purity mark: Lion passant mark (.833, 833/1000)

Export mark: Key mark intruding lion passant
