Description


This Victorian stickpin brooch displays an Essex crystal panel in a circular cabochon form.


The hand painted reverse intaglio has a sporting motif depicting a racehorse and jockey.


The jockey is wearing blue and white racing silks.


The Essex crystal panel is set to a plain 15ct yellow gold frame which has a rope twist decorated border.


The stickpin of this example of antique equestrian jewellery has turned decoration to hold the brooch more securely.


This Essex crystal brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 15 carat gold.

Condition


This piece of equestrian jewellery is very good quality with the gold being in excellent condition.

The sporting motif has lost some colour to the background but is generally in good condition.
