This exceptional antique German silver fish cutlery set consists of eight fish knives and eight fish forks.

The blade of each knife has a rounded, sabre style form and the forks have four shaped tines.

The anterior surface of each piece is embellished with exceptional engraved scrolling leaf ornamentation, paralleling the incurved shape of the blade/drop.

The ornamentation to the knife incorporates an engraved fish design, in addition to a shaped outer edge and a pierced rosette design to the lower portion.

Each blade is fitted to an embossed hallmarked handle modelled in the form of an antique dolphin/mystical fish.

The hallmarks struck to the each piece includes:

Maker's mark: Julius Lemor

National mark: Crescent moon and crown

Silver quality/purity mark: .800 (800/1000)
