This exceptional antique German standard silver spirit kettle has a circular compressed melon shaped form.

The surface of this German spirit kettle is plain and encircled with tooled decoration to the upper rim.

Either side of the kettle is ornamented with two plain German silver dowel style pegs encompassed with fluted decoration to the socket, allowing the kettle to sit securely on the stand.

This silver spirit kettle is fitted with a domed push fit hallmarked cover surmounted with the original silver floral and foliate decorated finial, securing to the interior with a screw fitment.

This fine example of antique teaware is fitted with plain baluster shaped handle accented with chased leaf designs and tiered leaf decorated sockets.

The kettle is fitted with an impressive swan necked spout ornamented to the underside with an exceptional panel of scrolling leaf decoration accented with leaf textures to the background.

The kettle detaches from the original silver serpentine shaped stand surmounted by two plain bracket supports.

Each shaped triangular receiver is embellished with applied scrolling leaf decoration.

These two elevated portions incorporate a plain scrolling frame and the original hallmarked cast silver melon shaped spirit burner.

The two supports are further ornamented with an impressive chased egg decorated border to the sockets.

The domed central portion of the base incorporates a sunken well, ornamented with incurved decoration reflecting the design of the formation of the body.

This antique German spirit kettle is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The original burner is not operational, however can be considered to be in excellent condition.

The interior of the kettle has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use.

The German hallmarks struck to the sleeve of the cover and rim of the stand are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of antique silverware.
