This exceptional antique George V antique glass match striker has a globular form to a circular shaped well.

The surface of the glass body is embellished with a serrated texture which composes a match striker.

The glass body surmounts an impressive circular shaped dished well, featuring a raised rounded border with paralleling applied moulded decoration to the rim.

This exceptional example of antique silverware is fitted with an oak wood insert to the underside of the base; this insert indicates the high quality of the piece.

The underside of the well bears the retailer's mark 'Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, 112 Regent Street W', in addition to the full hallmarks.

This antique glass and silver matchstriker is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.
