This magnificent antique Victorian sterling silver table snuff box has been mounted onto a horse's hoof.

This antique hoof snuff box is encompassed with a fine and impressive silver mount embellished with chased decoration reproducing the features of the horse's fur.

The upper portion of the mount incorporates a hinged hallmarked cover accented with an exceptional cast sterling silver finial realistcally modelled in the form of a horse.

The cover opens to reveal the original hallmarked sterling silver gilt interior compartment; the hallmarked interior indicates the high quality of the piece.

The underside of this impressive Victorian snuff box is ornamented with a hallmarked horseshoe design.

This table snuff box is the finest example of its type you could hope to acquire.

This antique hoof snuff box is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and is in exceptional condition.

The original hoof is in perfect condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each mount and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear.
