Indian Silver Card Case - Antique Circa 1880

This exceptional antique Indian silver card case has a shaped rectangular form.

The surface of this case is embellished with a fine and impressive chased decorated panel depicting a character on horseback carrying a spear to one side and to the other a figure on the back of an elephant dressed with a howdah.

The surface and sides of this impressive box are further embellished with impressive scrolling leaf and floral decoration, all on a matte background.

This antique silver card case is fitted with the original push fit cover.

The chased decoration is very sharp.
