Description


These exceptional antique Japanese silver vases have a circular rounded form with a waisted neck.


The body of each silver bud vase is embellished with large stemmed chrysanthemum flowers and foliate decoration, all on a matte background.


The decoration to each vase incorporates an applied circular vacant cartouche to one side.


The narrow waisted neck of each vase is plain and unembellished, with an applied moulded border to the rim.


These impressive antique bud vases are each supported by a circular spreading foot segmented with a tiered, stepped design to the rim.

Condition


These antique silver bud vases are an exceptional gauge of silver for their type, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The applied decoration to each piece is very sharp.

The hallmarks, comprised of a character and maker's mark, struck to the underside of each vase are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these items of Asian silverware.
