Description

This original antique Victorian jet brooch has been crafted in 9 ct gold.

The large oval brooch features a finely carved jet cameo depicting the profile of a classical female subject, with curly upswept hair gently held in ribbons.

The jet plaque is displayed within a plain 9 ct yellow gold oval setting ornamented with applied rope twist decoration.

This large and impressive example of a jet cameo brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp in addition to a safety clip and fine link chain.

The setting is hallmarked to the reverse with the 9 ct gold fineness hallmark (9ct).

Images do not always reflect the true colour and brilliance of gemstones and diamonds. The video however provides a truer representation of the actual colour and showcases each stone.
