Description


These exceptional antique George V Scottish sterling silver sugar casters have a plain panelled baluster shaped form onto a circular collet foot, all in the classic George I style.


The body of each caster is plain and unembellished with plain applied moulded decoration to the rim.


Each silver caster retains the original hallmarked push fit cover, embellished with pierced circular motifs in a geometric ornamentation.


The covers are surmounted by impressive sterling silver urn style finials.


The underside of each piece bears the retailer's mark 'Hamilton & Inches, Edinburgh'.

These antique silver sugar casters are a very good gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

Full hallmarks are struck to the surface of each body and sleeve of each rim are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this Early George V silverware.
