Description


These exceptional antique George V sterling silver sauce boats have a plain oval rounded form onto an oval shaped pedestal foot, crafted in the George III Regency style.


The body of each piece is plain and unembellished.


The rim of each sauceboat is ornamented with an impressive applied gadroon decorated border which converges at the handle to a incurved scrolling terminal.


These antique sauceboats are fitted with impressive opposing scroll handles which are embellished with leaf decorated thumbpieces.


The shaped rim to each oval foot is ornamented with applied gadroon decoration in addition to cast and applied scrolling shell motifs.


Date: 1929

Condition


These impressive Georgian style sauceboats are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the body of each are all very clear.
