This antique Russian silver beaker has a tapering cylindrical form.

The upper body of this antique beaker is embellished with engraved floral and foliate festoon decoration accented with three circular cartouches.

Each cartouche is encompassed with a wheat ear style wreath border accented with a ribbon tie to the lower portion.

The engraved stylised scene to each cartouche include: a man in a field with two sheep, a lounging man releasing a bird from a cage and a male character reclining.

The lower portion of this antique beaker is encircled with a band of bright cut engraved styled tied wreath decoration.

This Russian beaker retains the original gilt interior.

The underside of the beaker bears 'zig zag' lines created by the assay master to test the silver content.

The hallmarks struck to the underside of this fine antique beaker include:

This antique Russian silver beaker is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The engraved decoration is very crisp.

Full hallmarks including the city mark, maker’s mark and assay scrapes struck to the underside of the beaker are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique Russian silverware.
