Description

This fine and impressive antique Jabot pin brooch has been crafted in 9ct Yellow gold and platinum in the form of an arrow.

The arrowhead is embellished with five pavé set Dutch cut diamonds and a collet set step cut onyx.

The fletching (feathers) of the arrow displays twelve pavé set Dutch cut diamonds set to either side of five channel set step cut onyx.

The arrowhead and fletching shaped settings are accented with millegrain decorated borders.

This fine example of an antique Jabot* pin secures with a push fit clasp incorporated in to the fletching setting.

This antique brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.

The brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 9ct gold and platinum.

NOTE: Jabot pins were initially worn when men's shirts had a ruffle to the front. The pin was employed to keep the ruffle in place.

Jabot pins have subsequently been worn by men as either cravat or tie pins, and by ladies as brooches or lapel pins.
