Description


This fine antique Edwardian cut glass and English sterling silver mounted desk inkwell has a plain square form with chamfered corners.


The antique inkwell is fitted with an impressive circular hallmarked sterling silver mount and hinged cover.


The cover features an innovative shaped thumbpiece which further composes a pen receiver.


The impressive champagne coloured glass body of this inkwell is embellished with hobnail style cut glass ornamentation to the underside.


Date: 1909

Condition


This antique inkwell is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The item has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The glass body is in perfect condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the mount and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear.
