Description


This fine antique Chinese export silver (CES) photograph frame has an oval shaped form.


The border of this Chinese photo frame is ornamented with chased and pierced decoration depicting iconic oriental interlacing cherry blossom and larch branches conjoining at the upper and lower portions.


This frame retains the original oak wood back and impressive hinged easel style silver strut embellished with bamboo ornamentation.


This impressive example of antique silverware is inset with a removable glass panel.


The hallmarks to the rim of this solid silver frame include:

Maker's mark: WH (Wang Hing & Company)

Silver quality/purity mark: 90 (90 standard, 900/1000)

Character maker: Untraced
