This fine antique George II Irish sterling silver cream jug has a plain circular inverted bell shaped form.

The body of this antique silver cream jug is embellished with the later engraved initials 'WW' beneath a plain applied girdle.

The jug is further ornamented with a shaped undulating, upper rim.

This impressive example of Georgian teaware is fitted with a shaped scrolling handle with a plain scrolling thumbpiece

The jug is supported by three impressive paw feet with impressive applied and chased lion mask sockets in junction with the body.

The underside of this impressive cream jug bears the contemporary engraved initials 'MIL' and incorporates the silversmith’s centre punch mark.

Such original early Irish examples in such an excellent condition are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.

This antique silver cream jug is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition.

There are natural fire marks to the surface of the jug, in keeping with age.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the jug have wear due to their location and in keeping with age.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of Georgian silverware.
