This fine antique George III Newcastle sterling silver mustard pot has a plain drum form.

The body of this piece is plain and unembellished.

The upper and lower rims are ornamented with plain moulded applied borders.

This fine mustard pot is fitted with a hallmarked hinged cover surmounted with an impressive pierced decorated cinquefoil thumbpiece and embellished with a bright cut engraved crest of a plume of two ostrich-feathers.

This fine example of provincial made Newcastle silver has a plain S scroll sterling silver handle featuring a plain thumbpiece.

The mustard pot is fitted with a removable blue glass liner.

This Georgian mustard pot is supplied with an associated fully hallmarked English sterling silver mustard spoon.

Date: 1778


This antique mustard pot is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The bright cut engraved crest is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside are very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Georgian silverware.
