This fine antique Victorian sterling silver teapot crafted in Newcastle Upon Tyne has a circular compressed supported by four bracket style feet.

The body of this antique teapot is plain and unembellished with only the shoulders being ornamented with an applied stylised leaf and floral decorated border.

This Victorian teapot is fitted with a flush hinged cover which indicates the fine quality of this piece.

The plain domed cover retains the unusual fluted, rounded octagonal hallmarked finial, ornamented with a central acorn ornamentation encircled with leaf and acorn design.

This impressive teapot is fitted with a subtly ribbed, C shaped handle featuring an applied stylised shell, scroll and leaf decorated thumbpiece.

This fine example of silver teaware has a plain unembellished spout, and is supported on four shell, scroll and leaf decorated bracket style feet.

Date: 1837


This antique teapot is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The applied decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of antique Newcastle silver.
