Description


These fine antique Edwardian sterling silver baskets have an oval shaped rounded lobed form.


The body of each basket is embellished with impressive pierced decorated circular diaper work accented with an embossed leaf and bead design to each lobed portion.


The shaped rim of each basket is ornamented with an embossed opposing scroll decorated border with alternating floral and foliate motifs.


The subtly concaved shaped wells are plain and unembellished.


Each basket is supported by an impressive chased floral and scroll decorated frame incorporating four bracket style stylised leaf feet.


Date: 1901

Condition


These antique baskets are a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

Each basket has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The pierced and embossed decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each basket are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these Edwardian silver baskets.
