Description

These fine antique George V sterling silver presentation trophies/cups have a plain rounded form supported by a knopped hexagonal pedestal onto a circular spreading base.

The surface of these impressive tennis trophies are plain and unembellished.

The panelled knop to the pedestal facilitates the upper handle terminal of three chased decorated tennis racket designs, in junction with the plain foot.

These fine examples of antique silverware are fitted to the original circular painted wood plinths, each featuring a vacant sterling silver inscription plaque; the plaque may be engraved with a personal inscription if so desired.

Date: 1931

Condition

These antique tennis trophies are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The chased decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each cup are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
