These fine antique German silver nesting boxes have a plain circular cylindrical form.

The set consists of three identical boxes, graduating in size, which nest together neatly.

The body of each piece is plain and unembellished.

Each box is fitted with a push fit cover with a slight flange, and ornamented to the centre with a bright cut engraved initial ‘T’.

The boxes in this antique set retain the original gilded interiors.

The hallmarks struck to the underside of these impressive German boxes include:

Maker's mark: CFT

City Mark: Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany

Date Mark: E, F (Circa 1795)

Retailer’s Mark: Seethaler (Johann Alois Seethaler)

Maker: CFT

These antique boxes are an exceptional gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of these German boxes are all very clear; the maker’s mark to the largest and smallest boxes is rubbed and illegible.

Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of these pieces of antique German silverware
