This exceptional, fine and impressive pearl necklace displays a total of one hundred and one individually knotted Japanese Akoya* pearls.

The well colour matched saltwater cultured pearls graduate in size, the smallest being 7.6mm and the largest 9.5mm.

This impressive vintage pearl necklace is 88.90cm/35" in length, which may be referred to as 'opera length'.

These versatile pearls may be worn as a single strand, or as a shorter, double strand necklace.

NOTE *AKOYA pearls are cultured pearls produced in the smallest pearl producing oyster, the Akoya oyster. Such oysters are found salt waters in Japan, China and Australia. The cultured pearls produced in Akoya oysters are renowned for their almost perfect, sperical shape and their lustre and rich colour.
