This exceptional antique George V sterling silver dish has an oval shaped form with a flared rim.

The body of this large bon bon dish is embellished with impressive pierced decoration incorporating a stylised leaf swag design between vertical pales.

The flared shaped rim of the dish is ornamented with further vertical pale ornamentation incorporating scrolling motifs in junction with an applied scrolling leaf decorated border.

The decoration to the flared rim features four integrated vacant shield shaped cartouches.

The convex well of this fine example of antique silverware is plain and unembellished.

This impressive sterling silver dish is supported by four exceptional cast sterling silver scrolling legs terminating with pierced decorated scrolling leaf feet in addition to a large shell design in junction with the body.

The underside of the dish bears the renowned retailer's mark 'Garrard & Co Ltd' in addition to the full hallmarks.

Date: 1912


This antique silver bon bon dish is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The pierced and applied decoration is all very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the dish are all very clear.
