This fine antique Victorian sterling silver boudoir clock is slightly larger than expected for a clock of this type.

The clock has a rectangular rounded cornered form onto four fluted decorated circular bun style feet.

The clock is embellished with embossed decorated sides and upper surface.

The Rococo style decoration depicts putti (cherubs) amidst flowers and scrolls.

The reverse hinged cover is similarly decorated, incorporating a shaped vacant cartouche to the centre.

The clock is fitted with an ornately decorated opposing scroll cast swing handle.

The white enamel clock face is clearly marked with Roman numerals and minute markers.

The clock has blued steel shaped hands.

The hinged door to the reverse opens to reveal the gilt interior and eight-day French movement.

Date: 1896

This fine antique boudoir clock is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

The movement has been professionally serviced, and the clock sold with a twelve month guarantee.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside, and part hallmarks as expected struck to the rim of the door are all clear.

Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of this item.
