The fundamental pieces of this Victorian silver cutlery set have been crafted by the renowned and collectable London silversmith and flatware maker George Adams of Chawner & Co, apart from the table and dessert knives, which are replacements**.

These impressive examples of antique silverware are supplied in felt cutlery rolls; which not only protect the items in storage but significantly reduces tarnishing.

* "Straight" means all the pieces are made by the same maker in the same year.

** Predominately all antique silver canteens have replacement knives as the originals have not stood the test of time.

Date: 1882

This antique service is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition, in keeping with age.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse surface of each piece are all very clear.
