Description


This exceptional antique George V sterling silver drinks tray/salver has a rectangular, cut cornered shaped form.


The surface of this solid silver salver is plain with panels of incurved decoration to the rounded raised border, all in the Art Deco style.


The underside of the salver bears the contemporary engraved inscription 'Presented by Messrs George Lillington & Co Ltd to Mr E. C. Gardner on completion of 25 years service' above 5 individually signed names.

This antique Art Deco drinks tray/salver is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The salver has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

There are some natural fire marks to the underside of the tray, in keeping with age.

The applied decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
