This exceptional and large antique Edwardian sterling silver epergne/centrepiece has a plain, tapering form with a flared rim onto a plain bell shaped base.

The main flute has a pierced decorated border, ornamented with a Chippendale style rim.

This Edwardian centrepiece retains the original six detachable sterling silver arms; three terminate with circular receivers and three terminate with hooks.

Each receiver holds one of the three impressive original removable fully hallmarked tapering flared flutes, embellished with a pierced decorated border and a Chippendale style rim identical to that of the body.

The flutes are further ornamented with conical shaped decorated terminals.

Each hook holds an impressive original fully hallmarked bon bon basket.

The bon bon baskets have a circular shaped form onto three impressive scroll and bead decorated shaped bracket style feet and fitted with a plain shaped handle.

The well of each basket is plain and unembellished.

The base of this Edwardian epergne has a pierced decorated, flared foot, further ornamented with a Chippendale style rim.

Date: 1903


This antique sterling silver epergne/centrepiece is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The centrepiece has been professionally polished.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface and the base of the central flute, and to each of the three supporting flutes and baskets are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique Edwardian silverware.
